Solid Ionics has been conducting joint research about solid electrolyte powder synthesis with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) for several years since 2015, and has been also working on the development of mass production technology and the actual commercialization of solid electrolyte materials for next-generation lithium-ion all-solid-state batteries. In addition, we have secured own intellectual property rights for core raw material (lithium sulfide) and been preparing for the in-house mass production of it in 2025, which is essential to provide price-competitive solid electrolyte materials in replacing current lithium-ion secondary batteries with all-solid-state batteries.
